Stars & Stripes is a book which contains stills from american movies from the early eighties till today.
The only text is a final list containing the actors’s names, the titles of the movies and the year of release.
Every stills show movie stars, in sparkling and luxurious homes and clubs (most probably the same kind of spaces that they usually live in their real life), while they’re greedily launching themselves at mirrored cabarets or crystal tables.
The book is not about cocaine or its use, but it is related to the Hollywood cocaine, flaunted as a luxury gadget which needs precise rituals always presented with almost no differences in all movies.
NASTYNASTY© is a collective which works with various media, the book is among them, in particular the publishing house blisterZine, which started in order to promote and to distribute the self published book and the artist’s book as an art object.
